Photographs of Egypt’s Western Desert made during a 10 day trek and 4×4 expedition with desert explorer Sam McConnell. The approach to this work is in part inspired by my earlier abstractions of the River Thames

I absolutely loved Sahara Sands X!
This is the one I was going to leave out of the edit and my wife said she loved. It’s proved to be one of the most popular. So we know the moral of the story!
Those sands are so super cool! Quintin do you think our Euromillions news blog cold use one of your pictures as a background?
Only if you pay me for the licence 🙂 if so see my contact details below
Such beautiful photos of sand! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
who would think grains of sand could make all these shapes!
I live in San Diego and see so many awesome things created in sand! So much creativity… Thanks for sharing. http://www.segmation.wordpress.com
Sahara’s sand is totally unbelievable, you can’t even image which shape you will see in the next second. If I was there with you in this shoot, I must have clicked the snake sand shapes.
Yes I agree the sand shapes are infinitely fascinating – always changing and unexpected
Love it. I’ve been following you for a few months, if you’re interested in some travel blogs find me at http://www.worldcelebrationblog.com. Thank you, keep it up!!

It certainly is! Thanks Val
Great photography of the desert.
I love these photos. Just the patterns in the sand evokes expressions.
Thanks. Yes I felt, although simple, these textures are very expressive
