Such a remarkable place. Only managed to get this far south once – on the total eclipse – it was quite something to be there for.
that must have been quite something though!
It was quite a funny day. We bundled the kids in the car and headed off early. The authorities had a panic that the roads would be jammed and put out so many warnings about it that no one ventured out. We got as far as Torquay I think when the eclipse actually happened. And at the critical moment the 2yo simply had to wee so I missed seeing the moment of the full eclipse! By the time we got down to Penzance everything was chilled out & we had a lovely evening there and then drove home.
Haha expeditions with little ones tend to altar the aims and remind us that the point of these things is the journey, not the getting there!
