The Zwinger is a palace in Dresden, eastern Germany, built in Rococo style and designed by court architect Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann. It served as the orangery, exhibition gallery and festival arena of the Dresden Court.
The buildings were ruined in February 1945, during the Anglo-American bombing of Dresden. Reconstruction, supported by the Soviet military administration, began in 1945; parts of the restored complex were opened to the public in 1951. By 1963 the Zwinger had largely been restored to its pre-war state.

The Semper Synagogue c. 1860
Burnt out ruins of the Synagogue after the pogrom in Novmber 1938
The New Synagogue in Dresden was completed in 2001 and designed by architects Rena Wandel-Hoefer and Wolfgang Lorch. It was built on the same location as the Semper Synagogue (1839–1840) designed by Gottfried Semper, which was destroyed in 1938, during the Kristallnacht.

UFA Cinema Center in Dresden, Germany is a raw and dynamic example of Deconstructivist Architecture. Designed by Architecture firm Coop Himmelb(l)au in 1998.

Built in 1743 by baroque architect George Bähr the church was destroyed in February 1945, during the Anglo-American bombing of Dresden. The church was rebuilt between 1993-2005 using many of the original stones.

Dancing House, Prague by architects Vlado Milunić & Frank Gehry is radical as its resolutely deconstructivist style contrasts agains the Baroque, Gothic and Art Nouveau buildings for which Prague is famous. I felt the movement of traffic in these dusk photos seems to reflect the dynamism of the design.

Such a magnificent work or architecture this. Was one of my favourites as an architecture student so great to finally visit it for real and even better to not be in the slightest disappointed by the reality.
