Happy new year!
Thanks Esmee, yes that graffiti is a fun addition to London!
Stunning selection Quintin! I’m sure you’ll match it (and more) this time next year! Happy New Year.
Thanks Alex, yes i’m looking forward to what surprises 2013 will hold. It’s a bit of a strain getting back to work today!
These are all great, I wish you could post them all in a gallery for easy viewing
Glad you like them. I wish I liked the gallery format as it’s a lot less work then posting them on a single page but I prefer the speed of seeing them that way. Happy new year
I really enjoyed seeing these photos.
Thanks! I missed out this job in Visby from my list that may be of interest https://blog.quintinlake.com/2012/04/04/photos-st-nicolai-new-church-roof-visby-sweden/
Thank you, I’ve visited Visby, but quite some years ago. It seems there are interesting new projects to see!
Are you familiar with Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh?

Stunning collection! You were in Iran on holiday?
Hi Jo, I was travelling in Iran for the purpose of taking pictures – but it felt like a holiday 🙂 My collection Glimpses of Iran was freshly pressed last year https://blog.quintinlake.com/2012/08/15/faces-of-iran-2/
Oh, wow! Huge respect. Nice to meet you.
Awesome…!
Cheers Matt
Great to see the Mayfair office in your stunning collection!
I’m sure Manolo Blahnik will be in the 2013 selection!
Great shots, bravo!
Many thanks
Beautiful shots. I had a hard time picking a favorite one, but the grafitti mural would be a top pick.
Thanks Sharon. That building is my favourite change to London last year – always makes me smile when I see it
I clicked on your link because I like looking at photos of architecture. All the pictures are great, but I especially love the one of the Aleppo Night Workshop. It might seem incongruous, but it put me in mind of Saint Jerome in the study, the way the subject, who’s reading, is framed by the architecture. It’s visually striking, but it also has a fascinating human, almost narrative, element.
Thanks Fojap. It’s part of a series you can see here https://blog.quintinlake.com/2012/08/15/aleppo-night-workshops-syria/
The theatrical quality of a row of worlds in miniature next to each other really appealed. Now you mention it, it is really similar to Saint Jerome in his study. I always liked this painting http://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/antonello-da-messina-saint-jerome-in-his-study perhaps it lodged in my sub conscious!

Good luck!
These photographs are amazing, and so inspiring! As a photography student I’ve never actually focused on the geometrical side of these photos have inspired me to do so!
That’s good to hear!
hi, can you add a special effect to the picture or does it have to be a normal picture freshley taken from the camera??!.
If you are talking about the curry’s competition http://techtalk.currys.co.uk/blog/photo-challenge-2-geometry-by-quintin-lake/
then anything goes regarding post production so long as the subject is Geometry. Good luck!
